Can you think about: (a) The ways in which you may have experience the Tyler rationale in your own schooling? (b) What are the major limitations of the Tyler rationale? (c) What are some potential benefits?

(A) Times I have seen this in my schooling are:

-Science class when asking a question and doing the experiment to confirm it

-History class when we would listen to the teacher, take notes and then be tested

(B) Some limitations or downsides of this rationale are:

-The types of learners are not taken in to account

-The only guideline would be content, not learner

-It doesn’t take values into account

-It doesn’t take context into account

(C) Some benefits of this rational are:

-Being able to use it with any subject

-Being able to use it with any age

-Being able to use it with any educator
